Dear Toppenish High School Families, 

Late last night, we received a report through our anonymous tip line regarding a potential threat involving a student at Toppenish High School. As soon as we became aware, district and school administrators worked closely with law enforcement to assess the situation. After a thorough investigation by the Toppenish Police Department and our high school safety team, the report was determined to be not credible.

The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority. Out of an abundance of caution, we have additional police presence on campus today. 

While this threat was determined to be not credible, it provides us with an opportunity to remind our students, staff and families that we all play an important role in maintaining a safe and supportive environment. If you see or hear anything concerning, please notify your building administrator or a trusted adult right away or submit a tip using the anonymous HearMeWA tip line.
