Toppenish School District

On Monday, December 15, 2025, the Toppenish School District Board of Directors officially welcomed Anastasia Sanchez as the newly sworn-in Board Member representing Director District No. 2.

Mrs. Sanchez brings extensive experience and a deep connection to the Toppenish community. Her service includes roles as a parent, teacher, assistant principal, principal, Toppenish School District Federal & State Programs Director, and Director of the Toppenish Early Learning Center. Her diverse background reflects a long-standing commitment to students, families, and public education.

During the same meeting, the Board also recognized Director John Ramos (District 3), who renewed his oath of office. In addition, students from the Early Learning Center shared holiday cheer by presenting poinsettias to Board members.

The Board of Directors also voted to establish leadership roles for the coming year:

• President: Dr. Theresa (Tere) Hernández (continuing)

• Vice President: Dr. Elese Washines

• Legislative Representative: Anastasia Sanchez

• WIAA Representative: Brett Stauffer
