THS Graduates Could Receive $1,000 to Attend Perry Technical Institute

Is your student considering a career in the trades? Maybe a job in Agricultural & Diesel Equipment Technology or Construction & Carpentry? These are just two of the several programs available at Perry Technical Institute in Yakima.

TSD partners with Perry Tech in the Pathway to Perry program, where eligible students can receive a $1,000 scholarship to help pay for their education. All you need is to maintain a 3.0 GPA and for your counselor or a school official to submit an online application on your behalf.

“A scholarship that not only acknowledges your dedication but also eases the financial journey of your academic pursuit,” says Tressa Shockley, Foundation Director at Perry Tech. “We’re excited to offer this program to Toppenish students and encourage anyone considering attending Perry to work with your counselors to apply.”

Careers taught a Perry Tech are in high demand and the school boasts an incredible 94% placement rate, meaning students completing Perry Tech are much more likely to find a job following the completion of their program than ordinary job seekers. Each program varies, but the school offers a wide range of one-year and two-year programs.

Once accepted, equal disbursements are credited to you throughout your first academic year. The scholarships need to be acknowledged and redeemed before the Fall quarter begins, or you need to make special arrangements with the school.

Recommendations for the scholarships are due by June 30th of the student’s graduating year. The school also offers other scholarship and financial aid options for students. Contact Perry Tech directly to learn more.
