The Wait Is Over!


We are excited to safely welcome our students back to Toppenish High School for an in-person learning model.

The Toppenish School District decision, in collaboration with the Yakima Health District approved a phased in transition of secondary students to attend classes on-campus. With this news, our Toppenish High School students will transition from the current remote or advisory/small group on March 15th .

Additional details about the high school phased in model is below, and more information on the details of the March 2021 calendar and your student’s specific AM cohort, PM cohort, or online cohort schedule is attached.

NOTE: March THS events:

Homecoming 2021: March 8th–11th

Join us Thursday, March 11th for the 7pm Homecoming Football Game -Drive-in style

Watch live on 3 Big Movie Screens in the THS parking lot – including Homecoming Royalty, family picture opportunities, drive-thru parade) **All Yakima County Health and Safety Protocols be followed for this outdoor event. Masks are required. 

Student Pictures 3/17 (12th graders / 10th graders/) 3/18 ( 11th graders / 9th graders)

Online Cohort Students- 3/17 or 3/18 11:00am-11:45am OR 1pm – 1:45pm

Student Led Conferences Spring ‘21 Monday, March 22nd & Tuesday, March 23rd

Watch for invites from your student’s advisory teacher to make an appointment.


Students have been divided into three (3) groups based on the winter survey and bussing needs:

AM (A) cohort / PM (B) cohort / Online cohort

Online Cohort: Students/families that chose to continue remote online learning for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year will be a part of the online student cohort. Students will remain enrolled in their current classes with their current THS teachers.

AM (A) cohort (required daily health screening begins at 6:50am)

Classes start: 7:20am end: 11:00am

~ Students are required to attend all scheduled courses.

~ When 3 tardies occur – we will meet with families to switch the student to the PM session to make

sure they are successful in attendance /class engagement for learning.

PM (B) cohort (required daily health screening begins at 11:20am)

Classes start: 11:55am end: 3:35pm

Busses available in the PM. Bus schedules are set by the district transportation department.


For three (3) weeks in March – students will attend their assigned AM or PM time on campus.

The students are divided into a Crimson Day or Silver Day:

CRIMSON DAY 12th graders & 10th graders SILVER DAY 11th graders & 9th graders

For each group- students will attend on-campus the following days.

Crimson Group (12th / 10th graders) attends in person: Monday 3/15 / Wednesday, 3/17 / Wednesday, 3/24


Silver Group (11th / 9th gradersattends in person: Tuesday, March 16 / Thursday, March 18 / Thursday, March 25

On March 29th – we will have ALL grade levels attend their scheduled AM on-campus session or their scheduled PM on-campus session.  

April 5nd – April 10th Spring Break - no classes

As we march forward -in a safe proactive manner – we will -continue to care for, build, and provide wholistic educational services for our Wildcat Nation students and Toppenish community families.
