Welcome to Valley View Elementary School's website. We are proud of our students and staff. Valley View has approximately 382 students and a staff of 23 certified teachers and 7 paraprofessionals. Our diverse student body population consists of approximately 88 percent Hispanic, 6 percent Native American and six percent Caucasian.
Valley View Elementary School Staff is here to meet our student's educational needs. We believe all students can learn and it is our job to prepare our students for the 21st Century.
Each staff member will strive for excellence in a positive and cooperative learning environment that respects diversity and builds self-esteem through communication and partnership between home, school, and community.
The reading curriculum at Valley View is Open Court Reading in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Our science program is hands-on with the use of Foss and STC science kits. Math In My World is the curriculum used for mathematics.
Our special programs include our very own 21st Century After School Program with emphasis on increasing Reading and Math skills. This year in our school we have multiple classrooms of Dual Language Learners. Our students in those classes are learning in English and Spanish. Next year this program will be in all grade-levels, K - 5th. We also have a morning Homework Club with a certified teacher and two assistances.
We encourage you to browse through our website to learn more about Valley View Elementary School.
