Supplemental Educational Services

Your child may be eligible to receive free tutoring using Supplemental Educational Services (SES). This extra help is provided to your child in reading, language arts, and/or math. These services are provided by private businesses that are not part of the Toppenish School District.

SES providers are approved by the Title I department at the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. Forms to access these services are available at your child’s school. Please complete the forms and return to the school’s main office by December 7, 2009.

Information on providers that you may select from can be found on the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction website http://www.k12.wa.us/TitleI/SupplementalServices.aspx (this is the link). A brief description of the help your child may receive from the providers is included.

Services are paid for your child by Title I dollars set-aside by the district. Transportation may be required to the SES provider. This is the parent’s responsibility, as the district is not allowed to pay for this out of the Title I SES funds. The district will then enter into a contract with the provider on your child’s behalf.

Su hijo (a) puede ser elegible para recibir tutoría gratuita utilizando Servicios Educativos Suplementarios (SES).Esta ayuda adicional es proporcionada a su hijo(a) en lectura,artes de lenguaje,y/o matematicas.Estos servicios son proporcionados por empresas privadas que no forman parte del Distrito Escolar de Toppenish.

SES proveedores son aprobados por el departamento Titulo1 en la Oficina del Superintendente de Instrucción Puplica.Formas para tener acceso a estos servicios estan disponibles en la escuela de su hijo(a). Porfavor llene estos formularios y regrese a la oficina principal de su escuela antes del 7 de Diciembre,2009.

Los servicios son pagados a su hijo(a) por dólares del TituloI separados por el distrito.Transporte puede ser necesario al proveedor de SES.Esta es la responsabilidad de los padres, ya que el distrito no esta autorizado a pagar por esto, de los fondos del TituloI del grupo SES.El distrito entonces estará en un contacto con el proveedor en nombre de su hijo(a).
