Toppenish School District is located in the heart of the Yakima Valley. TSD serves approximately 3,300 students. Of that number, 78% percent are Hispanic and another 15% are predominately Yakama Nation students, descendants and from other Tribes. The remainder are caucasian. The district operates nine schools including a preschool cooperative, four elementary schools, a middle school, an alternative school for grades 7-12, a high school which houses grades 9-12, and a virtual school and WebAcademy. There are over 220 certificated staff members working in the district and more than 180 classified employees.
