The staff at Garfield school is committed to providing the best education possible for our students. We have over 420 kindergarten through fifth grade students involved in a variety of school day and extended school day activities. We are members of the Washington State Reading First initiative that supports high quality, researched based reading instruction for all Garfield students. Our school is also a member of the LASER science initiative that provides high quality training and materials in "hands on, minds on" science instruction. Garfield students can also take advantage of after school homework help, reading tutoring, test preparation classes, intramural sports, Family Fun nights and ESL and literacy classes for their parents.
